Rock Steady - The Jamie Moyer Saga Continues
A heart-warming story lost in the midst of my work travels last week, 49 year old pitcher Jamie Moyer signed a minor league deal with the Colorado Rockies.
It must have been a rocky road to recovery from Tommy John surgery for the antediluvian ace, but his perseverance and devotion to the game have paid off (again). A veteran's veteran, he'll surely lend his sage insight and uber-leadership - not to mention his 80-60 fastball-changeup combo - to the Rockies' big league staff before the year is through. Update his HOF plaque!
