Lake effect snow incoming... |
Reports out of Buffalo that lake effect snow is blanketing the region, resulting in an expected 7 cumulative feet of snow on the grounds of Ralph Wilson Stadium by tomorrow.
With the need to move an estimated 220,000 tons of snow by game-time, the Bills are offering $10/hour and game tickets for those who come and help shovel the snow. Sounds like a good deal - go outdoors, get some exercise and compensation, but they lost me with the game tickets. Watching the Bills play the Jets live? Yeahhh, I've got plans I need to make, sorry.
I've got a rare 2 RB lineup this week because I just can't stomach the options available at WR.
QB: Mark Sanchez - More than 300 yards in each of his starts, playing at home. Ryan Mallett in his first home start was also enticing.
WR: John Brown - 9 targets in both games since Drew Stanton took over.
RB: Daniel Herron - Will probably only get 5 carries, but someone's got to pick up the slack for Trent Richardson's futility.
TE: Marcedes Lewis - Happy to welcome back Lewis after his Week 2 performance for the RFO.
W/T: Niles Paul - Contingent on Jordan Reed missing the game, otherwise I'll go with Scott Chandler.
W/R: Tavon Austin - Special deep pick of the week, I'm hoping he breaks out for a flukey TD (long run, punt return).
W/R: Boobie Dixon - Nothing like a big back running wild in cold weather; need to see snow angel TD celebration.
K: Billy Cundiff - Don't worry about the polar plunge, Billy, it can't hurt you in the Georgiadome.
DEF: Denver - Desperate to get back in win column; Tannehill will freeze.
NOTE: Replacing Boobie Dixon with Chris Hogan as of 7:50 pm Sunday night. They're now playing in Detroit with climate control, and there's two other RBs vying for playing time.

Dang it, if I had stuck with Dixon I would have beat Simon's paltry point total. Note to self: the Jaguars passing game is just way too toxic to expect anything of. I miss the days of Chad Henne!
